The HawkACT Checklist is a simplified version of the Applicable Clinical Trial (ACT) Checklist used by the National Institutes of Health and ClinicalTrials.gov. Researchers are encouraged to complete the HawkACT Checklist and attach it to the HawkIRB application. This checklist helps to inform researchers about whether the project is an Applicable Clinical Trial (ACT) but the IRB makes the final determination about whether a project is an ACT. The checklist also provides guidance about:

  • Regulatory requirements for an ACT
  • Creating a new record (registration)
  • Results reporting
  • Good Cause Extension requests
