The next iteration of changes associated with the IRB Efficiency Initiative (EI) were rolled out over the weekend. To see more on this update, see the IRB EI specific details.

The External IRB SOP has been updated.  A track change and clean version can be found on the External/Central IRB Reliance Model page of the HSO website.

The IRB-03 VA Researcher Guide has been updated as a result of a recent VA Office of Research Oversight Audit.  Please review the changes if you conduct research at or with the Iowa City VA Medical Center. 

4/1/24 IRB Efficiency Initiative Updates are now live.

This new template recruitment message will help UI researchers include all necessary information in recruitment letters, emails and other direct recruitment messaging.

The next information session under the IRB Efficiency Initiative will be rolling out live on February 28, 2024.

This Short Form educational tool was updated to reflect the requirement for the witness to the consent process to sign the Short Form Consent Document (physically or electronically) for FDA-regulated research.
