IRB EDUCATION AND COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST/SENIOR IRB EDUCATION AND COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

 

This Professional and Scientific position will be filled as either an IRB Education and Compliance Specialist (PRC1) or Senior IRB Education and Compliance Specialist (PRC2) based on candidate qualifications and interview evaluation.  To express interest for consideration at both levels, please apply to both requisitions, 22003080 and 22003081.

The position is open to a full time equivalent of 50-100%.  Part-time or full-time appointments are available within the stated range.  Hybrid Telework schedule may be considered.  Some onsite work required.

The University of Iowa Human Subjects Office (HSO) seeks a motivated, service-oriented professional as an IRB Education and Compliance Specialist or Senior IRB Education and Compliance Specialist.  This position will act as education and compliance expert with regard to federal regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, and University of Iowa policies and procedures for the protection of human subjects involved in research.  Responsibilities will include to develop and coordinate procedures and programs to enhance investigator understanding of the HawkIRB application process and compliance with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures.  Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel is required.
