Updates to the Single/External Standard Operating Procedures [1]

As of 2/28/19, the Single or External IRB Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) has been updated to the following:

  • updating single or external IRB terminology
  • update to the scope of the single or external IRB SOP
  • update to include revised IRB fee structure announced by John Keller in January 2019
  • update to include the use of a sIRB pre-grant submission survey
  • include new information regarding the use of SMARTIRB as a reliance platform
  • clarification on serving as the Privacy Board in a single IRB of record scenario
  • clarification for when modifications are required for studies relying on an external IRB of record
