IRB APPLICATION ANALYST

 

We are seeking a full-time IRB Application Analyst to join the staff of a thriving research compliance office in a BIG10 institution of higher education.  We offer a challenging and exciting work environment in which one has the opportunity to grow and learn about academic and biomedical human subjects research.  Working in a team environment, the IRB Application Analyst position with the University of Iowa’s Human Subjects Office (HSO) provides research application review and other administrative support for the Institutional Review Board (IRB).  We also support faculty and staff engaged in human subjects research and related activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform initial check for completeness of human subjects research application materials
  • Perform HSO Staff review for all internal and external HawkIRB submissions (including HSRD forms, new projects, continuing reviews, modifications, closure notices, and reportable event forms as assigned) to ensure that federal and university requirements for application content and informed consent documents are met.
  • Coordinate the process of releasing approval materials back to the investigator.
  • Coordinating regulatory committee meetings in compliance with federal regulatory and accreditation requirements
