Best Practices in Privacy and Confidentiality Protections and Record Storage

Researchers must protect research subjects and their data throughout the data collection, transportation, analysis, and storage period. While there are some similarities, privacy and confidentiality protections and procedure for record storage vary depending on the study design, sensitivity of the data and the subject population. Join this presentation to learn more about:

  • Privacy protections- protecting participants at the point of data collection
  • Confidentiality protects- physical and digital protections for data and biospecimens
  • Regulatory requirements and institutional policies regarding privacy and confidentiality protections and record storage
