Requisition # 65900: Compliance and Education Manager, Human Subjects Office

The University of Iowa Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development seeks a self-motivated professional to serve as the Compliance Manager in the Human Subjects Office. This position will provide leadership and oversight in the design, planning, promotion, and conduct of in-depth, onsite reviews of human subjects research conducted by University of Iowa researchers for the purpose of assessing compliance with federal regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, University of Iowa or VA policies related to the conduct of human subjects research.  Serve as education and compliance expert with regard to federal regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, and University of Iowa policies and procedures for the protection of human subjects involved in research. Develop and coordinate procedures, programs, and policies to enhance investigator understanding of the HawkIRB application process and compliance with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures.
